John has managed his own business consultancy company, Equal Bytes, for over 35 years. His professional experience spans large scale public utility organisations, councils, government departments and private businesses. 

John has been Chair since 2016 and on the Board of two other organisations.

Vice Chair & Treasurer

Chris joined the Board in 2021, driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to essential resources to live a healthy & happy life. 

With over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas and FMCG industries, he has held roles in Finance, Marketing, Commercial Analytics, Supply Chain, National Account Management, and Sales Leadership.

Secretary

Marilyn is passionate about saving food from waste and supporting people who are in need of food.

She was a founding member of the Board in 2012, has held various roles as Chair, Vice-Chair since 2012, and is currently the Hub Coordinator.

Marilyn managed her own business for some years, followed by a number of years in State Government.

Board Member – Volunteer Coordinator

With over thirty years experience in the Not For Profit sector, Shereen is passionate about social justice and equity. Working in the community sector in England, Africa and Australia, as a social worker, she is mindful how financial stress and life circumstances can impact us all.

Over the last twelve years Shereen has worked directly in the food relief sector managing a community support organisation and brings her wealth of local knowledge to the board. As the OEF volunteer coordinator for ten year she is mindful of the value that a dedicated and passionate team of volunteers contribute to an organisation, and is in awe of the committed team of volunteers that outwork OEF’s service to agencies on a daily basis.

Sarah is currently the National General Manager of a growing national hospitality brand, and has spent the past 25 years working around Australia and the UK in senior management positions across all aspects of food and beverage operations; including hotels, catering, restaurants and academia.

Sarah brings leadership and operational experience, along with a background in training and capability development. She is committed to supporting volunteers, strengthening food security initiatives, and helping Outer East Foodshare grow its impact across the region.
